News quickly spread around the world after this tackle during an NFL Monday night game
Thankfully, this gutsy NFL player is doing much better now, after a nearly dying on the field, after his heart stopped.
One of the outstanding displays of compassion and concern, for Damar’s young life, was the reactions of the Cincinnati Bengals and the Buffalo Bills players.
Many kneeled and prayed, tearfully…that he would be restored, after this near brush with death…before millions watching on TV, along with the silent crowd in the stadium.
What I witnessed next….was ‘fiction becoming reality’….

Amazingly….BOTH NFL teams, represented by the team mascots, the Bengals and the Bills
REFUSED to play out the game! It was subsequently SUSPENDED!
Like an on the spot MISSION statement…all Damar’s team mates, and those of the opposing team…
AGREED….to keep a vigil, a prayer vigil, going on, for a young man’s life that hung in the balance…and NO MORE GAME that night.
That night, a GO FUND ME, charitable fund, for Damar…exploded to something like $4 Million dollars…last time I checked it was up to +$8 million and still rising.
He has a number of charities in Pittsburgh, which he has raised funds for, previously, and worked with…
Having, himself, fought and struggled to stay out of drug gangs, that run many of the streets.
I hope and pray he is FUNDED enough, that he NEVER has to EVER put on shoulder pads, a jersey, and a helmet…
To make a living…
And can dedicate ALL his time…
To saving lives on the streets he came from.
A fitting, ongoing tribute, to an outstanding, unselfish young man.
